As the temperatures continue to drop, I find myself craving for hot cup of sweet cocoa while curled up in a fuzzy blanket with a romantic novel in front of the fire. As a self-proclaimed lover of all things summer, I have a list of my must-haves that have made winter not only bearable but enjoyable. From cozy sweaters to hot cocoa, these things keep me happy and toasty on those lazy winter days.
Cozy sweaters
What’s not to love about a cozy, fuzzy sweater? They are the perfect excuse for staying indoors on a chilly winter day. My personal favorite is a soft, oversized cardigan that I can wrap myself up in like a burrito.
Warm fuzzy socks
Next on my list are warm fuzzy socks, preferably ones with soft wool lining. Slipping them on is easy and keeps my toes warm and toasty. I must admit that while I have a whole drawer dedicated to them, I cannot resist buying a few more each cold season.
Hot Cocoa mix
Now this is one of my favorites that I cannot get enough of. I make hot rich cocoa with a dash of milk and honey. This is a perfect way to keep warm and cozy on a chilly day.
Soft Blankets
Blankie as I fondly call it. You must admit that a blanket over time begins to feel like a good friend hugging you. I have a whole collection of them in different colors and textures and I love snuggling up with them on the couch.
Cozy Candles
Last but not the least are cozy candles. I love lighting a few mildly scented candles on a cold winter evening and then snuggling up with a good book/movie and a warm cup of tea. There’s something about the soft, flickering candle that makes me feel cozy and relaxed inside.
